I thought the puzzles and tasks were reasonable (although yes, ziplining across a courtyard in daylight multiple times is kind of crazy, but what other games don't have similar elements?).įinally, I enjoyed the Easter eggs and references to older games (Samantha Quick and whatnot) were fun to note.

The underground elevator location with the (at least I thought, cool!) Spyware and computer information about all of the characters in the Nancy Drew series was fascinating, but more importantly I thought that this game, more than any other Nancy Drew game, appealed to the player's emotions - how Cathedral was trying to manipulate Nancy based on her desire to understand what happened to her mom and how Nancy was able to overcome this. I thought that SPY was an emotional and poignant way to explain some of the issues regarding Nancy and her relationship not only with her mom, but also her dad. I guess for me I really enjoyed the game not necessarily for the puzzles or the characters, but for the background that it provided regarding Nancy' mom. It definitely was easier to get through than, say, SAW (maybe that's a bit old to be included with #29 but it is ithe first to come to mind), and I do appreciate the ease of getting through the game from that regard.

I didn't find it held up much on replays, but I was already biased against it from my first playthrough. I also felt like Carson's turnabout on whether he was going to be helpful or not gave me whiplash. I felt like the game took itself too seriously much of the time, which, for how silly the game was, felt like too much. I agree that the "ned is b+e-ing the drew residence" thing was pretty weird, but it was also a pretty funny part of the game, where it felt like the game wasn't taking itself too seriously. I haven't htought about it that way, but I can definitely see how home people would think that now that you bring it up. Interesting take on the bioterrorism plot hitting too close to home. I like the SEA puzzle and it still trips me up much of hte time.

Making cookies was definitely an ok way to make money.I agree that it was leagues easier to understand than the SEA puzzle. Thank youfor your response! This sounds like a very objective take on the game, which I appreciate.
